Reports are a "hard landing", pilot killed. So sad.

Spring is here, and people are dusting off their planes and motorcycles after months of being put away. While I make no presumption about this pilot's skill (or lack thereof) or why this crash happened, the sad fact is that there will be more tragic cases like this as the weather improves.

Take an instructor to knock the cobwebs off, remember there will be many more people out there flying as the weather gets better, and know your own limits.
The ADS-B was jumpin with targets today...I left one airport and didn't even try to land after seeing how much "breakfast" traffic there was! Wasn't worth it...

There must be more to the story than that. According to Google maps, the hangars are hundreds of feet away and across a parallel taxiway from the runway. And according to wikipedia, the Challenger II is 960lbs gross with a 70kt cruise and a 24kt stall. Something must have really gone amiss to go that far off course that slow.
