Plane crash near AUN (Auburn, CA)

Surviving after crashing through a home is nothing short of a miracle. Wow!

"According to the sheriff’s office, the only occupant of the plane was the pilot, who was taken to a hospital for treatment. The extent of the pilot’s injuries is not known.

The sheriff’s office said the residents of the home were inside at the time of the crash, but they were not injured."

Looking at the pictures I'm not certain that anyone "crashed through" the roof. More like "crashed onto the roof." If California's "earthquake proof" building codes are anything like the Gulf Coast's "hurricane proof" building codes a light weight GA aircraft at a (somewhat) controlable angle of descent is more likely not to penetrate a solidly built and reinforced roof.
