Can anyone help me understand the location of this notam?

!BOS 06/493 BOS AIRSPACE PJE WI AN AREA DEFINED AS 1NM RADIUS OF BOS299008.8 SFC-6500FT
202506231600-202506231800

Never saw this notation. I attached a screenshot from WX-BRIEF which puts it right in the BOS Bravo... thought it's unlikely to have jumpers over there!

Thanks for any help

Makes me think about jumping into a stadium or other event.

According to Google...

In NOTAM (Notice to Airmen), PJE stands for Parachute Jumping Exercise. It indicates that there is a parachute jumping activity taking place within a specific area and altitude. This information is crucial for pilots to be aware of, as parachute jumps can pose a hazard to other air traffic.

On the map it does look right about Fenway Park (Red Sox baseball stadium for any non-locals) location. A quick search shows that they did have jump activity on the 22nd... but I can't find anything on the 23rd! Still no closer to understanding the "299008.8" but thanks for the reply.

Fenway looks more like BOS278005. It's <navaid><radial><radius>, btw.

BOS R-299, 8.8DME

Ohhhhhhhh I see. Thank you!!

(For anyone looking for the reference it's in Order 7930.2U 1-4-6 (k) )

If my skyvector estimation is correct that puts the center of the NOTAM roughly at 42°23'31.0"N 71°10'59.0"W (790 Pleasant St, Belmont, MA 02478). Some small fields over there I guess you could shoot for.

Here’s what it looks like in Foreflite. It doesn’t do decimal places so I put in 8 and 9 miles. Musta been a thing at the New England Base Camp. https://experiencebasecamp.org/

Cool FF feature I didn't know!

BTW it was 299 radial, you have 229 plugged in.

On the web version I was able to use decimals (I didn't try iPad) and here is what I got for the location:

So 1 mile radius around the Belmont PD...

Some more googling revealed this post on Facebook from a Waltham resident (for any non-locals, Waltham is right next to Belmont):

So something may have gone down there! Thanks for the FF tip.

It does work on IPad. I had used format BOS299008.8 That rounded it off. But 299/8.8 does work
