I'm involved in a trip on Saturday, 8/2. Well, two trips actually.

On one of them I'm picking up a dog at Ft. Campbell, KY and flying it to Sullivan, MO (KUUV) which is just SW of St. Louis. I'll be in Sullivan about 1pm

The dog needs to make it to MSP. That's too much for one leg (IMO) so I might suggest:

Sullivan, MO -> Cedar Rapids, IA

Cedar Rapids -> Minneapolis

Big dog, Anatolian shepherd, 86lbs, 2 yrs. Extremely mellow female...at least that's what they say.

I have an Anatolian... Wonderful dog

So, how do these deals work when you guys transfer between planes in between origin and destination cities? I've done some flying with PnP, but only from origin to destination, that's been arranged thru work.

How does what work?

In general, the trip requester puts together a trip sheet that lists each pilot's info and estimated ETAs at each point. Typically I find that it's best to allow 30 to 45 minutes at each transfer. This for pee breaks for both the humans and dogs, fuel if needed, and allows a little buffer time if the trip starts getting behind.

Tax wise, I use PnP's standard trip information form, I take photos, save receipts, print off the trip request from the PnP website, etc., staple it all together and put it in my tax file.

I just wondered how it works when you guys swap dogs between planes. Only time I've done PnP flights are 600 miles and the whole flight route.

I might be doing kppq -> keau next week which isn't far from the departure or destination points but I doubt I can fit a kennel big enough in the Archer...

Check out the soft side collapsible kennels. I have a large one that I can squeeze through the baggage door and once in, is big enough for the larger dogs or a large group of puppies.
