I have a Telex Stratus 50D. It's cellphone/MP3 adapter has crapped out and since the unit predates the move to 3.5 plugs on smartphones, it doesn't pay to repair (especially at Telex's charge for doing it 
).
So I'm considering an adapter like the 86A. No need for Bluetooth - the only thing I've used it for in the past is picking up void time clearances on the ground when I can't open it in the air or by direct communication with ATC from the ground.
So any recommendations on this or another unit would be appreciated. And, of course, if anyone knows someone who is upgrading to a headset with this capability integrated and has one for sale....
