Usually it's a stupid kid, not a 50 year old... unless alcohol was involved. Interestingly, it appears that both his father and grandfather are also pilots and live in the same town. You'd think he'd have absorbed some flying sense by now.

The FAA decided to take law-enforcement action and sent Williamson a letter giving him 30 days to respond. He never did.

I've been a pilot for decades, and new or unexpected airplane noises have gotten my attention since I could walk.
