PATRIOTS = SUPERBOWL CHAMPS!!!!!!!!

I think both teams played really well except for the very bad last call by Seahawks! Very good game! Those who think these people on the field are a bunch of pussys might like to don a uniform and mix it up with say....Granowski or J.J. Watts! Either one would make short work of you. Brady's record speaks for itself as does Mannings. Both are excellent quarterbacks.

And this is even slightly significant because ...?

Congrats to the Patriots.

But why are they called World Champions?

Cuz we played that one game in England this year... :dunno:

I can't believe there is so much time, money, and dedication to a sport so incredibly boring. The half time show was even worse.

0/10.

Yep. Great entertainment. I especially like the choice to have a washed up rapper sing a song with these lyrics.

If you got a big dick, let me search you
And find out how hard I gotta work you

Great fun for the whole family.

Oh, the Super Bowl. Was that last night?

Were the commercials good?

My first thought when Wilson threw that interception on the one yard line was how rigged the NFL really is today.

I almost have to believe it, nobody makes a call that stupid on their own.

It was certainly a dumb call with Lewis in the backfield. They gave the game away. That, and have them jump off sides when Pats had the ball on their own half yard line. A safety could have given them another chance, but a 5 yarder sealed the game.

A great game. Congrats to both sides for getting to the Superbowl. Something tells me we will see a rematch next year sometime.

Football players have never been known for their brains, but c'mom. You have to either be an idiot, or purposely throwing the game. If they had used Marshawn Lynch with play action, Wilson could have walked in.

I believe that the Seahawks were thinking that the Patriots were expecting a run, so if they did a pass play it would catch them off guard. Kudos to the rookie who made his first career interception in the Super Bowl sealing the win for his team.

I got this sent to me less than an hour after the game last night.

In real football news, Barcelona played a brilliant game against Villarreal yesterday!

They should have run it and won but after a bit of reflection this morning, The Pats probably deserved the win in that particular game.
They did play better.

Seahawks went nearly 1/2 the game w/o a completion.

I can't stand the pats but they played better.

The Jermaine Kearse catch involved quite a bit of luck. That was just weird and I think that set in motion what could have been the win if not for the bad call at the end. There was definitely a momentum shift in Seattle's play after the half but I still think New England played a more skillful game.

Also, nothing wrong with Missy Elliot.

I was disappointed there was no wardrobe malfunction.

The highlight of the game was when Katy Perry rode that big ass aluminum foil dinosour or whatever the hell it was.

Tiger.

I just watched a replay of the catch. To me, it looked like pass interference. The receiver never touched the ball and was knocked on his butt by the defender before the defender caught it.

Weird, because if you take it out of the context of the superbowl, I don't think there's anyone who would argue an interference call on that play. But I guess the referees were afraid to make the call or they missed it. I guess that makes two bad calls.

Please keep in mind that since dumping cable, I don't really watch much sports and therefore didn't care or watch the game last night. Who won didn't impact my life in any way.

Both the defender and the receiver have the right to the ball. If either are making a play on the ball and heading, it isn't pass interference.

Ask John Mayer about her cellulite. It an't pretty. :D

You haven't seen many games coached by Pete Carroll. His tenure with the Pats and his first year at 'SC were full of stupid calls like that.

I am not very familiar with him, other than his success with the Seahawks. But, again, I was just amazed at the call, and my first thought was that the NFL now resembles pro wrestling where outcomes, and action is pre-ordained and choreographed.

Dunno how easy it would be to coordinate that interception. Conspiracies give f'ups too much credit.

I know, but it just seemed so idiotic that there almost has to be another reason. Just no excuse for that one.

They do, but when the receiver is bumped off the ball before either of them touch it, how that making a play on the ball here but interference in other circumstances?

Seems like a double standard.

Making a play on the ball nullifies the contact unless the defender (or receiver) is attempting to go THROUGH the other player to get to the ball. In this case both players were heading towards an unoccupied space in the field and both were making a play on the ball. No pass interference.

Then Brett Favre was a conspiracy. He made so many idiotic throws over his career, it wasn't even funny. Don't chalk up to a conspiracy what can be deemed as incompetence.
