Pamlico Sound NC

Hey, got a question: Pamlico Sound Frisco NC- can you land a float plane to pull up to your property? I can't find any specs on line about it. Anyone know? Daughter is a flight instructor and we're thinking about getting a float plane. thanks

I think you can. I remember almost landing there once on our way to Albemarle Sound, where I spent the night, and doing a lot of landings over several days in Edenton on another long trip.

Isn't there some float facility in the western part of the sound? I don't recall, as it may have just been a marina, but I do remember considering the option.

Sometimes you can land a few times, but when it starts annoying the neighbors you find that you weren't supposed to . . .

I would be a little concerned about the brackish water and its effect on the plane and floats, depending somewhat on what part of the sound you're in. I'd certainly look into that before committing to a purchase.
