I recently lost my enclosed hangar. My new shade hangar has very limited storage, so I have to transport my tools and hardware to planeside whenever I do maintenance.

If only there were a system designed to easily do this, and keep everything organized and accessible. Something modular so it could be configured to my specific needs, a mechanical commando kit ready for rapid deployment to a remote DIY crisis.

And that is how the Packout addiction begins.

Unfortunately, I am also cheap. After pricing and examining various systems, I grabbed a Bauer from Harbor Freight. It is not as fancy as some of the pricier options, but the plastic is very heavy duty.

Here's mine. Let's see yours!

I was buying the Milwaukee Jobsite Organizers to use for hardware, but then they discontinued them before I could get the number I needed. Haven't found anything else that worked as well. Guess the next setup will be Vidmar cabinets.

I don't have any great ideas here, but I will be following along for sure. And the title/subject reminds me of the couple of mash episodes where they take everything down and move it like a big circus. And now I'm reminded of circuses...and that reminds me of work.

Why’d you lose your enclosed hangar?
