Other hobbies?

Home theater and I coach a D1 college rugby team.

D1 Rugby? Wow didn't know they actually started it as a varsity sport. I played Rugby at a D1 school but it was strictly a club sport. University wanted nothing to do with making us their official team. We didn't even have a coach. About time some schools made it an official school sport!

Too much time at work to really enjoy a hobby.

Motorcycle, I ride to work frequently during the good weather months.
Photography, still do this on occasion. Trying to adapt to digital technology.
Hiking the local pristine wilderness in Upper Michigan.
I hold an Advanced Ham radio license but haven't used it for years.
Amateur astronomy but cloudy skies are the norm much of the year and it stays light until really late in the summer.
Mineral and fossil hunting in days past, especially when I lived in Texas.
Electronics and building computers.
Archery and firearms but they have been gathering dust lately.
Lurking in the SZ, really don't have time to post there anymore.

Its been a while Gary, Hows your son doing in Philly?

As for my Hobbies, well my wife says I collect hobbies

Besides flying
Sailing, Snow skiing, Camping, Bike riding, Hiking, Home brewing but haven't done that in a bit, cooking on a smoker.

Fishing, hiking, tinkering, breaking stuff, fixing stuff, gardening (sort of), cooking, baking, making friends with wild animals, climbing railroad bridges, ironmen, and water towers to take pictures, getting chewed out by having interesting conversations with law enforcement personnel after climbing railroad bridges, ironmen, and water towers to take pictures, writing, annoying my elected officials... that sort of stuff, mainly.

One could argue that Santeria is a form of Brujeria, certainly.

(I joke by the way, we have ordinances here against displaying severed goat heads in one's front yard.)

I live in Miami. We have all these stores that say "Botanica and Pet Shop". Wink wink nudge.

I take it from your user ID and kit you're a Rush fan!

Yep, good call.
My kit is an evolution over time, though, there's not much Rush influence left in the setup. These days, I play rock, blues, jazz, metal, etc, so I like to have a kit big enough to have options. When I was a kid I, I tried to emulate Neil Peart, my kit had ten toms, roto-toms, cowbells, a gong, the whole nine.

I'm told not to spend any money of my own money on any of the 3 F's (flys, floats, f**ks). That's why I fly for a living. ;) other than that, astronomy, working on my home media center, and generally trying to enjoy life in its many forms.

I enjoy saltwater fishing and an occasional game of golf, not much of a golfer, but I enjoy it.:D My golf game is like my sex life, I may not be good, but I'm quick!:D

Ham Radio (N3DLM). I Haven't turned the radio on in ages.

You and I must have been licensed around the same time... I'm N3OCQ. Our suburban paradise is antenna unfriendly so I haven't been on the air in a while either, but I did move all my stuff up to our summer house and got half way done building an antenna last time we were there.

I traded our Country Club dues for avgas, so I haven't golfed more than twice since we quit at the beginning of last year, but I do enjoy it when I get out to do it.

I have a dormant stamp collection.

I have over a dozen unplayed video games.

I shoot, but I haven't had time to get out to do that either.

About the only thing I do regularly is play low-stakes no-limit hold'em at a nearish-by casino. Otherwise tending to the wife, kids, and dogs is a full load.

Work takes up WAY too much time, being a business owner...but here goes:

Old fast v-drive and outboard boats and their care, feeding, and restoration. They can be as cantankerous as any airplane I've had. At least the Baja Outlaw is a 'turn the key and go' boat, and I intend to keep it that way.

Old cheap motorcycles (one roadworthy, another perpetual project).
Amateur Radio (2m mobile kerchunking and the occasional ragchew is all I may have time for despite having HF in the truck and in my office).
I'm restoring wife's heirloom long guns.

I occasionally threaten myself to trade most of these hobbies for more fly'n...

Music, collecting guitars and amps. Oh......working and teaching. That's what takes most if my time besides aviating.
