182. Best all around plane IMHO. I've owned low wing, high wing, turbine, and twin. If I could only have one for the rest of my life it would be a T182T.

If fueling a high wing is that big a deal, part with the extra $0.25-$0.50 per gallon and buy full serve.

And using the word 'salty' is another indicator that you have a teenage girl around the house. As do I.

First off, I am going to delete all my aircraft porn sites, so I stop looking, second, I am going to get my IFR currency back so I am more apt to take those XC flights, and third, I am going to take the same money I would of spent on a C182 or Bo, and begin to upgrade my Tiger to my specs.

In summary, "Love the one your with." Probably a sage approach.

Don't know why anyone would trade a Tiger for anything else. Looks cool on the ramp, enjoy the sports-car handling of the Grumman in the air. Outfit her with what you need and fly the wings off her. You already know and love it.

LOL! Yep!

His Tiger will go about as fast at much less cost. He doesn't need the load hauling capability. And the difference in handling is Sports Car vs. Truck.

Bingo! That is why I am not able to pull the trigger on a Bo or C182 versus the Tiger. My Tiger is a 135KT true airspeed plane, 4 hrs +1 endurance, 900# useful load, 430W and Century 1. I have resolved that my mission does not require a Bo, if and when, I or my wife can not get up on the wing, I will look to try on, and possibly buy a high wing.

All the thoughts and comments have been good to help me work through this.

I think OP should sell. In fact, I might be interested in helping him out by taking that Tiger off his hands!! Seriously, keep the Tiger but if you change your mind ....get a hold of me immendiately!! Jeff

If you are really interested in a Tiger, I would post on a list server called Grumman Gang. You never know who might be interested in selling their Tiger or Cheetah.

All -around is the key qualifier, though. Long paved runways? Great. But the 182 is fine on short dirt or Bigtown Class B.
