Today we repositioned 3 learjets. Only a short distance, but I flew two of the legs in a LJ24 and LJ25. Did a couple of my best approaches and landings with these planes, something I struggled with at first. We had someone shuttle us back and forth in a 182 to do these flights. I was happy.
The coup de grace was that Bill decided he'd fly me home in the Pitts 2C2, so I got my first Pitts experience.
It's quite a plane. I flew 2 loops and a couple of spins. Bill demoed a loop (the right way as a pure circle), a spin (the right way to a preselected heading) and 2 snap rolls (exactly on altitude and heading). After the jet flying and that acro, I had had enough, and we flew back to my airport. I called it right. One more bit of acro, and I might have lost lunch (a huge cheeseburger...bad idea).
