Some years back, while Lane Wallace was writing for Flying magazine, she wrote an article (I'm not sure if it was her regular column or a separate article) about being up in Minnesota and getting to watch Canada geese go through their flight training. The geese she observed having a very familiar series of "dual lessons" and "solo flights" and such as I recall. Anyway, it was an interesting article.

I can't find it anywhere online. My search terms are lacking. If I actually knew the issue I could probably find it on Google Books, which has most of the back issues available.

Does anybody remember this article, and could point me to an issue, or even a link to the actual article?

Lane has a website with contact info. She can probably help.
