I was selected to transfer up to PHL approach (working the EWR arrivals and departures) so will be flying up from Puerto Rico to OKC for a few classes. Does anyone have any recommendations for month long parking for my bonanza? It will ultimately be about 3 months, but I don’t have the 2 of the 3 classes scheduled yet. Just the first one. I’ll be up there towards the end of September

Can’t help ya with parking but curious about your flight from PR. What’s your planned route?

I would keep it at Wiley Post or at Norman and rent the car from there. You are going to want a vehicle.....
...at least that's what I've done in the past....

As Bruce said PWA or OUN. OUN is a hike and can be present a challenge if you plan to fly on game day. Guthrie (GOK) may be an option to the north. Similar or shorter drive than going to OUN.

My tentative plan is TJIG to KVRB nonstop. Then up to SSI for the night. It’s a little out of the way but they have a dog-friendly (the whole reason for flying the bonanza to OKC) hotel on the field. From there, I think I’ll be stopping in CGS for lunch with a friend then to the OKC area.

I’m incredibly fortunate that my in-laws are letting us borrow their car for the time we are out there, and my mom is happy to trade driving it out from NH for some time with her grandbabies. But I will reach out to those airports soon. I’ll be staying about 15 minutes north of OUN, so that would be convenient.

I suspect @RussR could make some suggestions on aircraft parking while at the academy.

CGS is a long way out of the way for lunch, heading out to Oklahoma. I presume you were based up here previously? Otherwise, I presume you have a FRZ pin?

Wnjoy your transfer to PHL!

Thanks Brad. Yes, @Wrench978 , if you are going to be staying about 15 minutes north of OUN, I assume that puts you in Moore, and then yes the most convenient airport would be OUN. I have no idea what they charge any more, but it's a decent airport with an FBO and an airport restaurant. I was based out of there when I lived in Moore.

I now live just west of MMAC, about 15 minutes.

Let me know when you're here, and if you have time I can show you around the Flight Check airplanes!

I also hope you Wnjoy your new assignment!

I’m staying at an Airbnb pretty much at the I-35/I-240 interchange. So pretty close.

I would love to take you up on that offer! I got to work pretty closely with a flight check crew on a radio relocation we did. I was *thiiiis* close to getting a ride in the jet… but I ended up being the guy on the ground talking.
