Offensive comment to CFI

The problem with stuff like this is if you asked me if that statement was sexist/offensive I'd say no. I'm pretty sure my wife would say no... other women in this thread said no.

Come now... women don't exist on the internet. Was that offensive?
 
The saying is a common idiom that has been in the lexicon for ages.

A man who is tied to a woman's apron strings is excessively dependent on her, especially when it is his mother's apron strings.

Anyone finding offense in this benign figure of speech is overly sensitive and poorly suited to cope in society.

It could be worse...at least the OP didn't make a 'racist' statement. In this case, our esteemed Dallas County Commissioner showed his ignorance along with the hypersensitivity which makes dealing with people that have a life long built in grudge an impossibility.
