Obstructing Emergency Exits

As long as the equipment is removable and placarded "must be removed for takeoffs and landings" or similar. Even with it removed how much more difficult is getting the door out of the hole with the seat in the way? Smells shady to me.

There have been other crashes where the door itself blocked the exit. While the seat card says to throw the door out the window or place it across the seats, some times it just doesn't happen. In the case I was looking at, it fell to the floor directly below the window, blocking the bottom third of it.

As Mitch Hedberg would say "If you are flammable and you have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit"
