NSA Petting Zoo

The NSA has a small petting zoo near the main gate - examples of past
sigint aircraft that were lost in "hostilities".

The C130 was shot down over Armenia. The E3/Whale represents an
aircraft that was lost during a carrier landing gone bad (in heavy wx). The
Queen Air represents a small fleet was used in Vietnam.

I've been there. Just around the corner is the National Cryptography Museum. It's pretty cool, too, and has some of the stories behind those aircraft.

I felt old walking through that museum. I worked on that box, and that box, and...

Then there was the even older stuff. I loved how we motorized the bomb, when the Brits were still turning a crank. Tim "the Toolman" Taylor would have been proud. "More power!"
