Oil consumption on my Titan X-340 (lycoming clone of narrow deck 320 plus performance mods) was a quart every 4-5 hours. It increased to a quart every hour. This was an abrupt change, not gradual. I noticed an abrupt increase in oil leaking from the rear of the motor at that time. I took it to a shop where I was at the time for evaluation. That shop changed one of the magneto gaskets saying the oil appeared to be coming from that location.

I flew the plane one more time for 2 hours. Oil level went from 6.5 to 5.5 quarts during that flight. I noticed some oil leaking from the whistle slot on the air-oil separator discharge hose. I blew into the discharge hose and it is open (it dumps into an antisplat aero exhaust adapter: https://antisplataero.com/products/crankcase-vacuum-kit-complete). I blew into the air-oil separator and can hear air discharging from the front of the motor behind the prop. The plugs look ok; #3 is a little wet. Engine is making good power and running well.

There is not any noticeable oil coming from the front of the motor. Does this look like a bad nose seal? Should any air be able to escape from the nose seal as may be seen in the link above?
