The phrase "I know just enough about it to be dangerous" has been around a lot longer then Dunning-Kruger, but it's the same concept.

I believe the difference is that with D-K you don't know that you are dangerous.

Just be careful you avoid Dunning-Kruger when describing Dunning-Kruger
