Anyone else planning on having one??

I'm not sad about it at all. :D Looking like fabulous weather will prevail around here and everywhere I plan on flying this weekend! Which is as it should be... Christmas should be all fun with family, lots of food, fun new stuff to play with, and most of all no weather drama! :D

Have a Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday everyone!!

We're expecting a Christmas that starts with "W" here, but the rest of the word is "et". Supposed to rain in western Washington. I'll believe it when I see it, we're in the middle of the driest December on record. Haven't had 1/2 inch so far this month. Unbelievable.

It was 1/2 mile in snow when we took off this morning. I wasn't too entertained when I found out about this trip yesterday. The main challenge was taxiing to the deice pad.

:rolleyes2: Ugh. Weather drama. :nono: None of that for me!

We got dumped on last night. And my snowblower is broken. :(

And from what I hear still coming down there.

Denver is closed for skiing! w00t! :D

It's 62F in McLean, VA right now. Yeah, really feels like Christmas.

No problems for Mari either. The twin Cessna flys itself, Mari just goes along to see what it does next. :D

The twin Cessna flies fine in snow. It just isn't the most wonderful 4WD vehicle. :D

On another note, looks like perfect weather of a BBQ. :)

It was 60-something here this morning when I reached down to turn the temp control for the defrost to more blue than red. While "Frosty the Snowman" played on the radio in the background.. :dunno:

We've always got a white Christmas here.

24 miles of white sand beach... :D

Headed back in about an hour. Looks like the weather is on the mend. Hopefully. Tomorrow looks great.

Yeah, if they'd just frakkin' plow the taxi lanes between the hangars...

I've heard that the Boston area only has a White Christmas about 25% of the time.

The Little House on the Prairie was looking pretty Christmassy when I got home. I almost high-centered the car driving in the driveway, then I shoveled...

Plenty o' snow here in New Mexico this year. Back home in North Carolina, looks like it'll be in the 50s.

Here in Yamagata, Japan (Eastern Japan) we have plenty of snow, I have shoveled my driveway twice already today. We get about 6-feet of snow every year, right now about 12-inches on the ground and we just started a blizard that will last for two weeks.

I'm off work tomorrow so firing up the grill works fine for me!

I'm off work tomorrow
I'm not. At least I don't think we'll have weather drama this time, but I'm wondering about ramp space drama since it's the season to be crowded...

Snow? Here in coastal Maine I was out raking the last of the leaves and loading same into the F-150 to deliver them elsewhere.(Some snow is predicted for Friday, if the rain now in NY changes to snow by the time it gets here)

Unlikely here. The weather woman claims it's going to be in the high seventies, clear skies, light winds. If they have my plane back together in time, I might fly over the local mountains to look at the snow. San Diego, ya just can't beat it for year round flying or boating.

I don't mind a white Christmas as long as it holds off until late Christmas eve night. Making a short, one hour, each way hop to Wilkes-Barre, PA and back tomorrow to take care of my folks grave and place a wreath. That's after we get back from my Brides fathers grave site and the same ritual here in Delaware. Mary's first holiday without her Pop.....BTDT....can only be there for support.

Be safe flying this weekend, enjoy the family time togerther!

It is white here, but may begin melting on Christmas day. This photo was yesterday.

White Christmas at my house ...

That little fire pit is about 24" tall ... yeah, that white bump is a fire pit.

December 22, 2011 on the island of Georgetown, Maine. The Dim Bulb is that which had been at the TOP of the ladder, not relative to the one who climbed said ladder. After raking more fall leaves came the trip to Lowe's to get a replacement bulb and installation of it. Better to have done it then, rather than with snow tracked shoes on a frosty aluminum ladder; definitely not an OSHA-approved project. Light snow came during the night.

Why heck that's almost VFR

No snow here , just mowed the grass. All the rain we have been having, left huge clumps and it was driving me crazy. Plus it got me out of vacuuming and various other inside cleaning projects the wife was doing.
