I didn't see a forum for introductions so I put it here. If this is the wrong place please move it.

New student pilot here, right at 12 hours. I had hoped to have a lot more by now but the weather in Birmingham has been crappy this whole month. Anyhow, I had the good fortune of taking a ride in a T6 today and it was awesome! Flying by the seat of your pants makes sense now.

I now have new goals in life.....

Welcome from SoCal. Hopefully the weather for you will clear up and you can fly. It's no fun to be on the ground when you want to be
 
Read a lot of books on flying. Hang out with guys that fly, not hargar rats. Fly as much as you can. Plan on going to Oshkosh this year of you haven't been already.
 
Welcome! I'm at 0.8 hours and have my first real lesson Monday. Very exciting times!
