As far as I'm concerned the cast footrests that Cessna provide for a 150 are total POS looking things.

Fugly.

Not to mention way too expensive.

So, I would like to replace them with something like this:

But I'm having trouble finding a right / left pair - anyone got a source?

Yes, I know I will need to make an a-daptor plate, but no big deal. They'll work just fine.

Strong enough for this:

Strong enough for a Wimpynental O-200.

Actually, the rudder pedals on the pilot side of my Navion are Cessna rudder pedals. I broke one once and I bought a second pair. After I broke the second one, I grabbed a set of 4 from the flymart at Oshkosh. Of course, now that i have spares, they haven't broken in 20 years.

Ron,

Stuff never breaks when you have a spare. It only breaks when you're stranded millions of miles from nowhere. Murphy gets his day in court in spite of the best prepared defense.

Wonder how much a machine shop would charge to just cut some out for you from... what, 1/4" sheet? I guess the mounting bracket would be the most complicated part of it, depending.
