iFly seems to be upping their game significantly. For the first time ever they have integrated a native keyboard @midlifeflyer. Charts are now a higher quality raster chart, rendering across the board is much better as well due to a new graphics engine.

They also teased adding pattern entries soon.

native keyboard suggests a new level of OS integration, maybe even copy/paste coming?

While I don’t currently use IFly, I believe it is the most user intuitive EFB on the market.

Built in web search, too. Saw it under Text Search. Enter town name, hit Google.

Google searches have been part of iFly for several years.

Not every input page has the ability to use the native keyboard (the account credentials entry screen, for instance), but almost all of them do. Any capability you're used to with the native keyboard (voice entry, copy-and-paste, swiping the spacebar to move the cursor, etc.) is usable as normal. (And just to say it because sometimes people aren't aware or don't pay attention to how things actually work, features requiring Internet access, like voice-to-text, won't work in flight if you don't have Internet.)

Adventure Pilot (maker of iFly) has done a lot of work in the past year or so to divorce the underlying code from its origins as a WindowsCE application, and also to divorce it from the previous limitations imposed by support of those legacy WindowsCE devices. Their work optimizing the code to take advantage of modern device graphics accelerators and processors has enabled sharper map / chart / plate displays and peppier performance overall, and paved the way for feature development that wasn't practical under the previous constraints.

Already here.
Does it copy to/from other apps or just within iFly?

It's been three years since my last subscription expired, so I'm not up to date on what's been added. As of my last time, there was no common IFR routing and I thought that being able to copy a route from, say, FltPlan.com or an email, would help with than and other issues. The other big missing piece at the time was that, while iFly did Victor airways, it had not incorporated T-Routes.

As I said above: "Any capability you're used to with the native keyboard (voice entry, copy-and-paste, swiping the spacebar to move the cursor, etc.) is usable as normal."

iFly does include T-routes today. It still does not have a way to pull expected IFR routes but yes, you can copy and paste between apps to help with that.
