Hello all! New to the forum. Sold my plane and took a couple of years off. Can't fight the itch though.

Working a deal right now for an unfinished Aeromarine LSA Merlin PSA. Looking forward to getting off the ground again!

It’s been two days, plane purchased? Finishing touches planned? Parts and upgrades ordered?

Enquiring minds want to know

Yes, deposit sent and accepted! Sales Agreement signed. Options/upgrades have been ordered and that deposit has been sent and accepted as well. The intended options include - parachute, strobes. landing light, completion center assembly and test flight, paint and DAR paperwork.

I am currently working on trucking/trailering/completion options:

1. From current owner to completion center (800 miles) and then from completion center home (2,600 miles), or

2. From current owner to home (1,800 miles), where I will complete it, paint it locally, and have them fly out to final inspect, test fly and DAR it.

Lots to figure out. I will make the decision between the two soon and then focus on scheduling. Thanks!

What needs to happen to be able to DM someone here?

Welcome! That itch never really goes away :p

The Merlin PSA is a great project—sounds like an exciting way to get back in the air. Good luck with the deal and keep us posted on the build progress.

Thanks! I am currently putting a quick trip together to verify the kit contents and quality before completing the purchase. Then it is trucked off to the completion center.

I am cautiously optimistic!

Thanks...looks like I just crossed the threshold!!

Well, my experience with Aeromarine in general, and their completion center more specifically, has been disappointing. I keep reaching out to M-Squared (the completion center) and get different excuses for delays and commitments that are never met. Communications are poor. They have had my plane project (engine and avionics were installed prior to their pickup) since late February. They tout a 2 week completion capability...hmmm. Frustrating!
