Looks like it expands the range of SNs for magnetos, (and adds Rolls Royce engines) affected by AD 2002-13-04.

It says the FAA thinks the inspection can be done in 2 hours, that is to remove all accessories and the accessory case and inspect the gears, and replace every thing, 2 days maybe..
2 hours is plenty to verify applicability and replace the mags. More time is obviously needed to remedy if the inspection shows a failure of the part. Same for checking for a cracked spar. The time difference is substantially more if a crack is found.did you read it ?

I don't see what the problem is.
You make a good point. I would like to hear Stache answer. I happen to know other very experienced A&Ps who were offered the job. Do they help write the ADs?Do you think those guys writing these things have grease under their nails? Likely they have no clue what is involved.
What work is required to make the mags accessible?
Remember when everyone was hot on slicks cause they didn't have any AD's?
