Need a new A/C unit.

I am looking at the useful end of my 4 ton American Standard HVAC unit on my domicile. Quotes hover round $5-6K. Is there a better alternative than just calling the installer? I saw where I can buy a Goodman unit on Amazon but have not been able to find an installer.
And any brand recommendations would be nice.
 
Goodman is the Yugo of HVAC equipment.
 
I bought a 5 ton 17 seer Goodman and just paid an installer for labor.

The units come prefilled with refrigerant so for the most part all that is needed besides labor is a new lineset. Price ended up being much lower than alternatives. Goodman provides lifetime warranty on compressor.
 
We maintain a contract for service and are getting quotes around the same from our guy. You might find a little lower by shopping around, but make everyone happy and pull the trigger.
 
Can also get rheem for diy, I did mine. I’d buy it over Goodman which is contractor quality ie. cheap.
