NASA WB-57 belly landing 1/26

They're neat airplanes. NASA was flying them out at Edwards AFB when I was there in the late 90's. Wiki says that NASA currently has 3 of them, so I hope they can repair this one. In fact, my office used to fly two of an earlier model (the RB-57A) back in the late 50's/early 60's for high-altitude airway evaluation.

(Also, is it actually an internet requirement for posts on X to have lousy grammar?)

One of their high altitude planes, often used to chase SpaceX's Starship launches.

Living near KEFD most of my life seeing and hearing the very distinctive sound of the B-57 has always been a treat…probably something that can’t be replaced…glad to see a successful landing.

Yeah the third was added in the teens due to NASA loaning them out to the DOD. Mothman shows some frames still being stored so hopefully it can be fixed, or another created.

I failed to see when it "bursted into flames" still looked intact at end of video.

Grinding the skin and probably a few bulkheads probably dictates a donor fuselage. Anything can be rebuilt if the motivation and money is there.
