Len

P.P.S Something tells me my reputation rating is gonna be heading south :<)

Peterson...

Well, Len... me and google are stumped. The only thing it turns up (other than lots of lyrics written by assorted Petersons) is Shotgun Peterson. Man, I hope that's not it, 'cause it's morbid!

OK, I'll hum some of the tune from the movie.

Hmm Hm Hmmm Hm Hm Hm Hmmmm

How's that? :<)

Actually, Peterson isn't part of the song. At the start of the movie Peterson goes around saying "It doesn't sing.". At the end of the movie he tells a certain tall actor who used to own a destoryer mine sweeper and play cowboys a lot what did sing.

"Tell Laura" ?

Wild Goose

The movie features several aircraft...helicopters, fighter/bombers, a gun ship and a cargo ship doing something you see in only one other movie.

The person who sung the song was known as the Singing Sergeant.

Len

Eileen...gets me singing everytime. "Come on Eileen..."

I can't recall Emmy Lou as a song lyric (maybe Emmylou Harris the songwriter?) but there is "Mary Lou" by Rickie Nelson ...

Hello Mary Lou

You passed me by one sunny day
Flashed those big brown eyes my way
And oo I wanted you forever more
Now I'm not one that gets around
I swear my feet stuck to the ground
And though I never did meet you before

Chorus:
I said ";Hello Mary Lou
Goodbye heart
Sweet Mary Lou
I'm so in love with you

I knew Mary Lou
We'd never part
So Hello Mary Lou
Goodbye heart";

I saw your lips I heard your voice
believe me I just had no choice
Wild horses couldn't make me stay away
I thought about a moonlit night
My arms about good an' tight
That's all I had to see for me to say
