[NA] Timmy H.? What's the deal?

So what type of incentive is it? There are baby flavors, and development incentives are common as dirt. There's nothing shady about it.
It wasn't an "incentive" it was a big cash payment. I'd go find the article if Google was worth a crap any more - AI seems to have ruined the regular results.

The part of the construction costs in order to get the store there IS an incentive. Tell us the name of the town, and we can look up how it happened.

The first Bucee's in DFW was built in Terrell ten years ago in 2015.

Try playing around with the dates in Google street view and see what happened to this desolate highway interchange.....

Interesting article here about the city: https://siteselection.com/how-terrell-turned-a-corner/

What put Terrell on the map? That’s easy, says Dunlap: “Buc-ee’s drove our retail growth. It was the first piece of the retail puzzle in Terrell. Dr. Wood had a lot to do with that.”
I'd celebrate if my small town worked with Bucee's to build nearby. I can't see anything remotely shady about it.

A threefold return on the city's investment, plus hundreds of well-paying jobs: https://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local/article/bucees-san-marcos-18707234.php

Since we are talking “aboot” donuts on a flying forum, I will put my vote in for the Amish donuts near S37 Smoketown, a bit south of Lancaster PA. On Saturdays the Amish have a huge fleamarket/auction/Amishpalooza and they sell the most delicious food, including donuts, all calorie-free ha ha. Only a mile walk down the road from the airfield, highly recommend.
