I have a lot of neighbors that have TVs, pool tables, and other man cave features in their garages.
If I spend 30 min in my garage with the light on working on a project, I am suddenly swarmed with Crane Flies, Mosquitos and whatever other insect of the day is hunting for light.

All of the ceiling / wall edges are filled with webs having trapped a crap ton of crane flies.

How does one have a garage with lights on and make it a usable space after dark?

Good, insulated garage door so you can leave it closed. At least that's my solution.

I use bug spray on my arms and legs every night in my shop or hangar during the summer and fall. Also a fan running helps keep them off of me. Off spray works really well for me though.

Perfect time to include your kids in project work. Skeeters prefer kids blood to the blood in your alcohol system.

This is a real thing, bugs preferring the taste of one person over another.
