Coke used to have cocaine in it.
You have to make a product that people will want. What better way than to get them addicted to it. Tobacco did it. Coke did it. This just seems like the next logical step. I LOVE my Thin Mints!

Speaking of Girl Scout Cookies, TIM METZINGER: When's the next sales campaign?

I'll post later today with the details of what's on the GS menu this year.

Edit: Thread added in Hangar Talk.

I just bought some from our neighbor today. YUMMY!

4 cookies to a serving? not possible...

Thin Mints are diabetic kryptonite to me. I used to scarf them down by the box. But must resist since my medical is up in May.

And it's marketing genious that there isn't anything as yummy in the regular cookie market during the rest of the year.

Wait why didn't I get the memo? Is it that time of year again? I should start looking outside the big local supermarkets for the table set ups. Nobody at work has a young kid to sell me some.

Actually since you mentioned they're really bad for you I probably shouldn't mention this, but...

Keebler Grasshoppers are the exact same cookie. Cheaper and available year-round.

If you want to buy young kids you'll have better luck at a farmers market than at work.

SPsssst, Little girl, over here, ya'wanna buy a cookie. :D

are they made with real girl scouts? :yikes:

Hey Kim, in all seriousness, if you do meet some scouts, talk to one of the adults, and offer to talk about flying with the troop. It would be extra special coming from you.

Thanks Tim! My local 99s are hosting the Girl Scouts at the jet center in February.

I did see, in the "off season," an ice cream company that came out with a "limited edition" flavor that claimed to have crumbled girl scout cookies in it. I forget if they were Thin Mints or Samoas, but it seemed like a great marketing idea for the leftover unsold cookies. (Are there "left overs?")

Dr Pepper used to have Opium in it. Back in the day you could go to the drug store and mix a speedball at the soda fountain...

And prune juice, which if you stretch your imagination a bit, is still what it tastes like today... carbonated prune juice...
