There are some foods where it is just a proven scientific fact that you cannot only have 1 serving. You know before you even open the package that you're doomed.

For me, that achilles heel is Cheez-Its. You ever tried only having 1 serving? It's as impossible as time travel.

What about you?

(I was thinking about this because while making a dinner that takes a while tonight I decided to "have just a few cheezits to hold me over"... And from the moment I opened the box I knew that was a lie).

Most cookies. Oreos for sure.
Pretty sure hotdogs.
With french fries, I'm certain it's impossible for someone to just steal one.
I've known a few people would would say "beer", but that's not me and probably a whole other thread...

Popcorn. You can have none. You can have a handful. But don't think many people can do 1.

Oh, and not to forget Mitch Hedberg. More or less "Rice. When you're hungry and you want ten thousand of something."

Baked Mac and cheese… absolutely imperative it’s BAKED. The cheese milk mixture will be like savory custard.

May as well have tums for dessert…

1 piece of jerky - “unable”

Chapulines (tried them for the first time last month while traveling to Oaxaca for a family wedding).

As for the Cheez-its, I don’t understand. My son and dog love them. I could eat a corner off of one and leave the rest, lol!!

Well there's a recommendation I didn't expect to see here!

We built this house in Oaxaca after falling in love with the area. One of my friends in the village (population 200-ish) keeps feeding me stuff he doesn't think Americans will like. First was chapulines. Then it was bean and tripe soup after a night of futball and beers. That was super tasty. His mom was watching me from another room and was amused that I asked for seconds.

Most recently he messaged me, "my mom caught an armadillo, do you want to come over for dinner".

Yes... Yes, I do...

Pretty much anything with Old Bay in/on it. Chips, goldfish, peanuts...
Also Utz cheese balls.

Nauga,
chipper this morning

These do it for me...
The "regular" Cheez-Its are addictive, but these Hot & Spicy ones are "eat the whole box" addictive.

Ah, a fellow connoisseur of fine cheeses!

This spicy one is maybe the only cheezits kind I haven't tried yet. I'll have to give it a whirl.

My favorite is still the regular standard kind, but a close second is their "extra toasted" ones. I'm sure they're factory rejects they overcooked that they decided to just label as "toasty", but nonetheless, I still like em!

Probably everybody already knows this, but just in case... Red potatoes quartered and boiled in water w/ old bay and salt. From memory like 3T ob, 1T salt for about 3qt water. Unlike shrimp, corn and other things, the old bay soaks into mr potato and makes them wonderful.

kind of like anything with bacon, yes?

Cool Ranch Doritos for me, followed by Chili Cheese Fritos then regular Fritos. I can pass on every other form of tortilla chips. Of course I'll eat them, but I can pass. Sometimes I'll break down and have some potato chips. Sour cream and onion are the best.

I'm a carb adict. Four years in recovery as a carnivore...
for me it's pretty much any cookie. Or cake.
...or those yeast rolls they bring out at some restaurants....

Interestingly enough, Old Bay brings the polar opposite result for me. Nope, don't want it..... I'll save it for you!

Ah yes. Hot and spicy are the most (only?) addictive Cheez-Its.

The other thing that always gets me is the Snack Factory White Chocolate & Peppermint Pretzel Crisps:

If I don't grab a handful and remove myself from the location of the bag by at least one flight of stairs, the whole bag is gonna be gone.

I pulled the plug.

I ate the last of the Frito Scoops, and I noticed Bel Air had a smashing deal on three or more Fritos, so I got two smaller bags of Scoops and a Chili Cheese for me.

Life is good. And I am fatter for it.

Goobers chocolate covered peanuts.

I could bury my head in a bag of these.
Nothing better than the original, though I seem to go through the Southwest and the Parmesan Garlic almost as fast.

They've had a couple of things that I wanted to be a lot better than they were. One was the BBQ-flavored ones. I guess given how good the rest are I was kind of expecting pretzels to come out of the bag with a smoked brisket attached. Same with the "cheese curls" - Cheetos plus Dot's awesome flavors, sign me up! Yeah, they were kinda disappointing.

Dot’s Pretzels are made with magic dust. It’s probably something that should be reported at your next medical.

I haven’t tried all their flavors, but I have not been disappointed yet.
