There I was standing in line.
Hoping to make a decision in time.

What would you like? Oh what will it be?
Asked the young lady much tanner than me.

I'm just not sure. It's such a tough call.
That's when I noticed the sign on the wall.

A burger with everything minus the bread
No buns on that one, it's lettuce instead.

Oh what the hell, I will give it a try.
"Make one like that. That's what I'll buy"

"And what do you want on it?"

Wait.. What?

Burger Girl: What do you want on your burger?

Me: No! You are ruinig my poem. Look , just make that . The one in the picture. It even has a name "The Turkey Ice Burger" I mean your company has an ad on the wall for something you guys call the turkey ice burger. I want a turkey ice burger.

Burger Girl: "I'm looking at the picture and I see tomatoes, and I think pickles. What else do you want on it?"

Me: "I want the Turkey Ice burger. press the Turkey Ice burger button on that computer"

Burger Girl: "Sir, you have to build it"

Me: I look on the actual menu and there is no such thing listed.

"Fine, Pickles, Tomatoes, Avacado, Jalapenos, Mustard."
I start to think of all of the @Sac Arrow burger rants and suddenly it all makes sense to me.

I got my weird ass looking burger and ya know what? Pretty dang good.
The bread is probably the least flavorful part of a hamburger.

I feel full, satisfied, like I ate a hamburger...
Pretty good.

So um... Please Delete. Problem Solved

This does not infringe on Sac's copyright on burger rants as I am in the process of actually purchasing @Sac Arrow from himself which gives me ownership of all things burger related and anything Asian.

Awesome poem or "not a rant" or whatever it was!

What "procedure" does one used to buy someone's identity from themselves? Hmmm...

I finally understand why Sac eats his burgers with a lettuce bun. Bread is not exactly an Asian staple.

I dunno. On the purple board he offered to sell himself to someone so he could buy a plane. I am still working out the specifics.

See! It's a real thing:

All right.

Damn.

6PC thank you, but I have to tell you about my night. Yes Everskyward I realized I quoted you but I don't know how to half quote you and you happen to be an Asian chick but this isn't about you. Although. Wait a minute. You appreciate socks. Well maybe not but you recognize them. Wait. We are talking about 6PC not you.

But, I want to talk about you for a minute. You don't cook....

No that's a rhetorical question. I know your proclivity towards Top Ramen and microwaved pizza and all. Maybe not the microwaved pizza but..,,

Hey, we're talking about 6PC. Troy's personal hell. The only reason Greg Bockelman doesn't think he's the antichrist is because I'm here.

Anyway, uh dude, it's st patricks day and I'm not Irish but I'm all ****ed up and my bowels are screaming with remorse and I'm going to regret reading this shyte tomorrow **** I need another shot

Gotta watch that green beer and those green shots . . . Adding color doesn't reduce the alcohol load. :( At least the burger bun you don't eat would have helped absorb some of the alcohol in your stomach and slow things down a little, but Nooooo, you put lettuce in the outside of your burger instead of laying on top of the tomatoes and onions.

You're right If I ate the bun I'd be your Kasich or your Rubio. But I di int. I'm your motha freaking Trump azz suck my m...... Hole Em a I feel empowered like the n

If we ever have a Friars Club or Dean Martin style roast.... It's gonna be brutal. We'll need extra tanks of O2 to resuscitate folks from laughing too hard.

I'm not gonna lie...
I planned on calling in sick tomorrow because I have been putting in like 70 hour weeks and I need a break.
That said, I had a handful of gin and tonics tonight which is rare because I really don't do hard liquor.

The only reason I mention this is because.... I forget

Holy crap I have a splitting headache. I woke up with one of these weird WTF did I post on the POA last night feelings this morning.

All right.

Now that I'm sobered up, some points:

1. I believe Carl's Jr./Hardee's has a turkey burger. Well, no, rather I know they have a turkey burger. They do not have a turkey ice burger. They do offer lettuce wrap as an option. One may "assemble" a turkey burger as such, given the right relationship with the Burger Manager at Carl's. I want to have that kind of relationship with the Burger Manager at Carl's because she is a smoking hot Latina. I have a fetish for Latinas too. I do not have that kind of relationship with the Burger Manager though, although I suspect that she would accommodate my request to assemble my turkey burger. But it wouldn't be my turkey burger, because I would have the beef burger, and 6PC is sitting outside in the Hertz rental reading over the human bondage contract before he signs it.

2. Everskyward is right. @Everskyward is right. @TangoWhiskey should get this thing to autoparse the member links. Wait a minute. I think it's working. Nevermind on that though. Bread is not an Asian staple, except that it does have a limited presence in Vietnam due to the French influence. They produce wine as well. In the Dalat region. Dalat was a French man. But that notwithstanding, the use of leafy green lettuce in order to wrap things like seafood (ca, tom, muc, bac to), beef (bo), pork (thiet heo), and chicken (ga) is common in Southeast Asia as well as in Korea. I do not know if they do that in Japan. I do not believe they do that in Japan. They do not do that in China. China doesn't do it because Vietnam is mad at them and they know that Vietnam wants to be culturally and economically isolated from them plus lettuce doesn't grow all that well in China.

3. On this, uh, human sale thing. Okay right, it's just a thought exercise for now. I had posted myself up for sale on the beta version of the new POA board. You know, for some extra money. Indentured servant. I was hoping Everskyward would maybe pitch in a bid but she didn't. She probably didn't because she knows that isn't legal in her state and that could have implications on her flight career. But, 6PC did respond though. We are trying to work out the details. Like would I need a commercial licence to fly the plane because he's paying me, except that technically he owns me and the plane as well, so there is that. Plus 6PC is an IT jock. Human trafficking is not a career limiting move in IT. In fact, it can bolster productivity, and it's economically beneficial because it replaces offshoring and keeps the cash flow within the country. A Houston warehouse full of Pakistanis sitting on communal rugs banging code out on cheaply assembled workstations powered by Rasberry Pi processors is going to end up putting India out of business. Right?

4. I learned something today. a) For some reason the breathalyzer interlock on my phone is set wrong. I won't allow me to dial a cab, but it will allow me to post on message boards while lying semi conscious on the lavatory floor. And Yelp. I royally pizzd off a lot of businesses last night, think I didn't. and, b) the Front Range is a mountain range somewhere in Colorado. I think it extends further than Colorado but people from Colorado have as much state snobbery as Californians so associating it with Colorado only is fine by them. c) Powers Irish Whiskey costs the same as Jameson at the bar, except it's 82 proof vs. Jameson's 80 so therefore it is a better deal, so I can stay within the graces of frugal people like @RJM62. Except that an open bottle of Powers Irish Whiskey in RJM's kitchen is subject to contamination with dish soap.

^^^ not a single mention of mayonnaise. You really are hung over. :)

img_2825-jpg.43088

Well, well, now that you bring it up, I just learned another thing today: d) Double bacon cheeseburger in Korean speak means double bacon AND double burger. So I ordered the above today. Except for the mayo because the pictured burger was from an earlier thread where I had accumulated some packets of mayo and the Korean burger place doesn't have any, so I brought my own.

Well, somehow, my "double bacon cheeseburger" morphed in to two sets of bacon, with one between the burgers. With the corresponding price differential. Which was okay by the way, I was fine with that. It's not like you can put too much bacon on a cheeseburger.

I really wish they had mayo though.

What "procedure" doe

All that mayo on there turns my stomach. A little is fine but not that much and that thick. ick!

image.jpeg Anyway, I had to score some leftover corned beef and cabbage. Not half bad.

In Japan they wrap stuff in seaweed, not lettuce...

Same for Korea when I was stationed there. Well South Korea anyway. Some kind of rice/veggie/meat all wrapped in seaweed that I had. Was very good.

It's not that bad! The Hawaiians have this special knack of creating dishes that would prevent blood loss in the event of an artery rupture.

Spam almost as bad as the old C rations. Almost.

Spam almost as bad as the old C rations. Almost.

One time we scored a can of "loaf, meat, processed" from one of the mess hall guys, which was basically a green painted five pound tin of Spam. We finished it in the barracks over the weekend.

I've never been so sick.

Actually looks appetizing.

I like spam musubi, as long as the sauce is not too sweet.

I may just have to hunt down an L&L's this morning for a Spam Musubi run.

@Sac Arrow When?
And we may have to rent. Cirrus is in Annual.
But also I know like 20 pilots a stones throw from here that would all converge on any eating establishment and offer up extra seats.
