Made it around the pattern. Overshot final just a little but did get established on final. Seemed a bit slow to me on final. Yeah, I know we see ground speeds, METAR showed pretty light winds. What are the Vmc and Vs’s for a C340

I agree, looks like he went down on very short final. I wonder if he let the speed decay too much.

Yes, it is. The top part of the air stair door coming open is a minor inconvenience. I have a small computer screen so it is hard to see but the bottom part appears to not be hanging open.

Gear appears to be in the down position.

This is the most frustrating fatal crash in aviation. The aircraft won't fall out of the sky because of an open door, but it will if the pilot panics over it.

I've mentioned before that six people close to me died because of an open nose locker door on a C421. Mishandling the red and blue knobs and leaving the gear down resulted in a large burning pile of aluminum. Still think about it decades later.
