Is Tiger done? Missed the cut for the 3rd straight time in a major. Seems like since his ex-wife chased him down the driveway with his #2 wood he hasn't been the same.:dunno:

Yup....

Tiger has lost his mojo.....

Stick a fork in him..... He is done...

Watching the PGA right now actually. When he came back after the scandal, I said he'd never win another major. I still stand by that statement. He'll get another few wins if he gets healthy but I don't see another major.

Just never really cared for him. Always comes off arrogant. Cussing on the golf course. You hardly ever see him signing autographs. Just never seen him as a role model.

Golfers I like: Phil Mickelson (pilot too), Justin Leonard, Jason Day, Jordan Speith, Ricky Fowler, Justin Rose and of course Rory Mcilroy.

Tiger could still beat me using borrowed clubs. When I can beat him I might talk smack.

I'm heading to Pebble Beach tomorrow. I'll try to measure up to Tiger's US Open scoring from 2000. i stand a chance if he gives me 10 a side. :)

Yeah he's done which is a shame.... Side note I haven't watched golf on tv in years, what the hell is John daly doing on a course still!?!?!

He may be pre-occupied with all the troubles he has. He would not be the first person to slide while his mind is on other things.

Tiger was at his prime when he was banging all the porn stars and waitresses. Seems like now that he is single he needs to get back to it. I'll be at Whistling Straights tomorrow for the final round.

What's your tee time?? :) Have fun. It looks like a beautiful place and a pretty good venue for spectators. Definitely on my wish list of places to play.

Maybe Tiger missed a coaching opportunity. It seems like little Elin swings a pretty good 3 iron.

Yep, I'm getting the itch to play again, had a few good rounds so now it's calling my name. Hitting Myrtle mid sept to play a few rounds.

Agreed. He had (has) great skills but never a sliver of class. It has been a blast watching Spieth this year. Won the first two majors, finished one stroke back in the third and two strokes back in the fourth. That is pretty darn close to a Grand Slam. And he is likeable as well.

Glad to see Jason Day win yesterday. I would've been happy to see Spieth win but was really pulling for Day. He's a good guy and been so close to a major in recent years.

I wish I had a tee time. Wife says I can play it for my 40th birthday/break 100, so I have a little over 3 years to get my score down and establish a handicap. It was hot yesterday. Course was beautiful, but I didn't think it was very spectator friendly. I did get to see Mickelson's eagle on 6. That was amazing.

It has to be better than Chambers Bay! The trend towards links-style golf is fun on TV but stadium courses are better for watchers. Whistling Straights sure is pretty. those boys made it look easier than it would be for me!

It was comparable. TV coverage doesn't really show the terrain that well. Lots of hills, and on some holes you couldn't get really close to the action. There are so many bunkers on the course that it prevented spectators getting right next to the fairways. Unless you got right up front, or were on a hill, it was hard to see some shots. Then they had all these large sponsor tents hogging up the best holes. I now know where the old concession people are after EAA gave them the boot. How the heck do you run out of brats by 12:30, in Wisconsin? Not to mention they couldn't keep the water stocked throughout the course, so by the afternoon people were begging for warm $3 bottle of aquafina.

As of Friday, he was busy throwing clubs into the lake. Staying classy as always. :drink:

I'm trying to get into golf. I half-way played in high school and college. Several of the guys I work with are big golfers and there are several pretty good (and inexpensive) courses in our area.

Played Friday and shot 49 on the front and 54 on the back, but that was with 4 pars and a birdie, so if I can take care of the total breakdown 8's on par 4's, I'll be happy and feel like I can play with anybody and not be embarrassed.

Glad to see Day get his first major yesterday. I've grown to like him after watching more golf this year than I ever have. He seems pretty genuine and down to earth. Spieth is on-target this year, but I wonder if he can maintain this level of intensity as he gets older.

Golf is enjoyable and infuriating, often during the same 9. That's true whether I'm a low single digit or low double digit. Most of us keep a few loose shots in the arsenal and never know when they'll show up!

Thank god for the drink cart girl....:D;)

My dad tried to get me into golfing. I really got my money's worth. I hit that ball A LOT. One day I came home all excited, "Dad! I finally broke 100!!!"

"Son, for 9 holes that's not such a big deal."

By the way, not a golf fan. Not watching nor playing. Never got it.

All it ever seemed to me to be was where the sales staff snuck off to regularly while we were figuring out how to make the thing that was never intended to do what they told the customer it would do, work.

golf courses are a criminal misuse of a perfectly good rifle range.
