My new to me 182P

Wish mine had that interior. Still got the ugly stock blue seats and trim.

Looks like she has been well cared for. Congrats!

Congrats! Plane looks great, but whats your thoughts on landing it with full flaps?

:stirpot:

On a serious note I actually really like that nav setup with the older king GPS under the 530. Kinda cool to have 2 redundant systems like that.

It's not as useful as you might think. "VFR only" means it gets ignored. That's a KLN91, right? The 530 is a lot more useful.

I've spent some IFR time in a 182 equipped with a Garmin 400 and an Apollo GX55. The Apollo sits there saying "press ENTER" forever.

Not one thing. 70 kias, full flaps. Lands nice and easy.

In the next county. You sure that isn't 70 MPH?

I'll approach no faster than 65 on short final in a 182. 60 if it's a nice smooth day, or if I have a short runway to deal with.

That is a Garmin 430 over a KLX 135 if you are talking about Stans airplane.

Has that 430 had its WAAS upgrade or is just filling a slot in the stack until the 650 arrives?

(ignore me)

Looks great. You'll enjoy.
Hangar or tying outside?
It will be hangared.

70kts with 0 flaps or full flaps?

70 is nuking with full flaps!

Yep 70 KIAS, full flaps. Lands like it's on a cushion.

No, no upgrade to the 430 yet. Jury is still out on how to proceed there.

Thanks for all of the kind words. We're pretty proud of it.
