Getting back into the multi-engine world again, and looking for advice on some books to read through while at the beach. Would certainly appreciate your thoughts on the following books:

  • Jepp Multi-Engine Manual (Already Own)
  • Multi-Engine Flying - Paul Craig
  • Complete Multi-Engine Pilot - Bob Gardner
  • Transition to Twins - ASA

it's not so complicated that you need to read multiple books on it

Although I bailed on multi engine rating for now I have Bob Gardners book and love it. Very easy and very practical.

I got my multi engine commercial and the only thing I studied was single engine aerodynamics.

It's just an airplane.

Have my ATP and owned a twin until I retired .I don't remember reading much except course materials.i enjoyed studying the airplane manuals and learning the systems for the multi ride.

Multi-Engine Flying - Paul Craig
Complete Multi-Engine Pilot - Bob Gardner

For my Multi, I bought and read both of these books. While they both have useful information, Bob's book is the far better choice. I thought it was better written, easier to read, better illustrations, in a more user-friendly format (the Craig book had many pages of just text as I recall), and did it all actually in less pages.

Highly recommended.

Plus, Bob posts here as well.
