I just got my nicely Amish built shed. It appears to be well constructed. The floor is raw plywood, it does what I want it to do and holds the stuff I want it to hold- mostly; I will have to add some roof hangers and maybe shelving.

My JD lawn tractor can be unweildy to move around, especially laterally. I thought of tossing some sand on the floor to make positioning easier, but that has other side effects that I'd rather not have, so I am turning to you bright fellows and fellowettes to give me a better idea. I may also store a motorbike or two in there also depending upon coming up with a solution for ease of positioning.

Thank you.

Bigger shed, or add a side door.

Epoxy paint. Just make sure it is warm enough when you apply it.

Google car dollies. You slide them under the wheels, pump the jack and you can roll it around in any direction.

Might be part of the shed improvement plan like when I run electrical.

Thank you for getting me going in the direction I was looking for.

Next time do a concrete floor. You aren't going to be happy when the plywood rots out.

Ed, I really appreciate you man. I hope you find some happiness in your life.

If it is pressure treated and if its on skids, it will be many many years before, if ever, it rots as long as air can circulated under it.

That's the key. I made a pad for my hot tub to go on, knowing it would be temporary (replaced by a deck in a couple years), and in those two years, it was completely rotted out. Came apart in pieces - both the top and the bottom.

How handy are you? You can build a drive on castering dolly like the motorcycle guys use, shove it out of the corner, drive it off, drive it back on, shove it back into the corner. I see them commercially built for motorcycles, but haven't seen one advertised for lawn tractors.
