And it came to a "perfect stop". Wouldn't it have been perfecter with the nose gear deployed?

Miraculously, it slid to a stop before passengers were able to be evacuated by inflatable slide.

Well, that is a miracle that the plane stopped before the passengers were able to be evacuated....it is just so difficult to evacuate passengers before the plane stops....
