Neither left or right seat needed to have their heads in an iPad... while their eyes were scanning outside, audible alerts (bearing, relative altitude, distance) would have been triggered by the ADS-B In to both the intercom (likely a G1000, G500, or G3X) and iPad.

I do notice from the track that the 206 was possibly turning to Downwind lower than at least than their 2 previous departures...

When im flying with someone for the first time I give them the tablet to look at and play with. My eyes are outside. I hear the traffic alerts via Bluetooth.

ADSB has its limits and lots of cowboys out there doing weird things.

People were tracking my 1959 piston single! I had people who set Flight Aware to notify them every time I took off. Some of them had flown photo missions with me and thought it was okay to get on the frequency I use and ask what I was shooting. Not okay! I'm flying close to another plane and don't need you interrupting me. I blocked my n-number, but you can still see me on your Foreflight when flying, and even see my n-number. It only blocks the re-broadcast on the internet.

Good thing you're not a judge! She flew under a bridge and lost her license. I think that was a pretty tough sentence! Even the FAA said if she hadn't lied about turning off her transponder, the punishment would have been a lot less severe.
 
I remember when Under Wire Under Bridge flight was an ATM task on an Army Check ride…probably not anymore…

Relying on technicalities to protect you from an ADMINISTRATIVE agency just ain’t super bright. Unless that was the point, which I get and would then quite respect!! I’ve poked a few bears… and I know what the consequences could be.

I go on big sky little airplane.
Why do pilots get all huffy you get within 1/2 mile of them in the pattern but nothing on Sun N Fun when you’re all head to head and butt to butt? Bunch of Karens.
