Aye the beautiful METARmap from early 2022 is not working anymore due to the AWC weather upgrade. I’m bummed….

AWC upgrade sucks.
Workarounds are required.
Skyvector.com
Click layers
Under weather tab, click text weather box at the top.

I have DIYMETAR and I was able to flash the module with an update. IDK if you can purchase the module ans swap it

I went with Light Map for work and haven’t had an issue. Not sure where their source wx comes from.

Mine is still working, I got it in late 2022 or earlier this year.
I don''t understand the problem.

Most METAR type maps get data from www.aviationweather.com. The format there recently changed and broke the links that were used to retrieve the data. The legacy format can still be accessed at https://aviationweather-cprk.ncep.noaa.gov/. If you have access to the programming of your map you can change the data source address to the legacy address and restore function. I have a homemade map that I wrote my own code for. I changed to the legacy data source and it now works again.

Brian, thank you for posting this.

Thanks. I miss the old format. I had a lot of things bookmarked, then they disappeared. Now I can find them again.

You may want to revisit us as the Upgrade Program changed. https://metarmaps.com/upgrades There were a large number of steps needed to get an emergency upgrade program in place (during my busy holiday season) and I may not have gotten everything perfect initially.....

Our's was not effected by the AWC change I don't think? We have an Ohio map.
We love ours as it hangs in our living room. My wife now knows how it works and can tell if the weather is flyable from the couch.
Also after reading this thread I thought there was something wrong with mine because at that moment it didn't match FF.
I sent a Email on a Sunday morning and got a call back within a hour on a Sunday from Richard! There was nothing wrong with it and it has always worked great. That is great customer service and I am sorry I bothered you on a Sunday Richard.
My wife wants one that covers the whole country, maybe someday.

I got my replacement SD card a month ago for my map bought in 2018. The upgrade works like a champ and I majorly appreciate Richard's efforts in continuing to support that really early hardware.
