Yesterday, in this area I noticed a lot of people buying milk, bread, and eggs. Apparently a lot of people are hungry for French toast.

Anyway, if you are snowed in, as I am, and have one of the streaming movie services you might want to watch a light satire movie called Meet Bill. It stars Aaron Eckhart, Jessica Alba, Elizabeth Banks and Timothy Olyphant.

It's of interest to me because I'm one of the faces in the crowd. I was a back ground actor, the current politically correct name for extras.

One of the interesting things about the movie was that a husband and wife team directed it. He directed during the morning while she took care of their kid; at noon they switched and she directed.

I was impressed with Timothy Olyphant's acting (he's the star of Justified on FX). In Meet Bill he interviews Bill (Aaron Eckhart), and on the day of the shooting he gave four different interpretations of his reaction to Bill in four successive takes: is Bill insane, a liar, a phony, or misunderstood. Amazing.

I know its on Netflix. Watching it does not require much brain power.

Any movie with Jessica Alba is worthwhile ;)

I have been trying to find Blast from the Past on one of these streaming services (Netflix, Hulu and DirecTV) and none of them have it. They seem to be getting more and more limited. I had the DVD, but it apparently didn't survive my divorce. I may have to buy it again.

They seem to be getting more and more limited.

Netflix is getting lamer with each day.:(

On the contrary, I've been really pleased recently with my Netflix streaming service. Since I have no other TV service (no cable TV), it's what I use for all my TV and movie watching, so I'm on there quite a bit. It seems they are releasing more and more old movies and TV series every week, and the number of new or new-ish movies and TV shows is expanding too.

The "not available" comes up very seldom for me. I take their advice to try again at another time, by simply clicking it again immediately. Without fail it always comes up.

I have no complaints about Netflix. Mostly I watch some of the TV shows -- I'm slowing going through Law and Order - Criminal Intent.

But I do watch movies -- saw both The Philidelphia Experiment and The Final Countdown recently.
