Find me a dog that lives 50 years and I'll love it that much too. :p

Yeah, but once you factor in all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, roofing, painting, car maintenance, child rearing, log splitting, bill paying, personnal protection services, and sex (let's not forget sex), etc. she does without pay it comes out about even.

(Explicative deleted). Where do you find one of those these days? Amish country? Definitely a generation gap between what you've got, and what's available now.

You just aren't looking hard enough...

You just aren't looking hard enough...

Of course, last night my SO was sending me links to DA40s and C182s on ASO and saying things like "These look nice, we should get one".

Maybe I should get that in writing....

Those appear to be direct operating costs. Don't forget things like furniture, paint, etc. when redecorating the house for the umpteenth time.

A friend of mine just mentioned he was looking at some furniture for a home office/study. First cut: $10,000! :hairraise:

I told him people can't complain about flying being expensive shelling out those kind of bucks for some wood.

Between this post a few others I am wondering if the name of the bard, currently Pilots of America, should be renamed the 'He Man Woman Haters Club"

;) :) ;) :)

Looking at the numbers, the vasectomy is clearly the most cost-effective thing on the list. Everybody should just start by getting one of those. Then you can eliminate the Mothers Day category too for even greater cost-effectiveness... :) :)

Get the first thing the second one will begin to go into disuse.

Mail order Wife is sounding better and better;)

Or to put it the way a friend of mine did: Sometimes it's just cheaper to buy. Make sure you have a high-credit limit on your Visa... just call it a "Visa Date".

At least these days, you don't have to worry about long distance phone calls she will make to all her friends across country while escaping an argument. But, I'd still have the expense of going flying since I don't go to bars.

Ed, it's, "...swallows to Capistrano." Swallows are a type of bird. Birds flock, fish school.

Don't forget to add various tax incentives available to married persons.

Man, you guys are finding all the wrong women. I was married for 13 years and definitely turned a profit. She made more than me for the last 5 years. She even paid for my PPL.

If you can't marry rich, marry high earning potential.

Chris

Maybe if I was marketable.

which quote is, of course, from Dumb and Dumber... which is where Ed's quote came from. doesn't *anyone* watch these movies?

My wife, perhaps?

Now, if you're that low maintenance, I need to introduce you to my son. :D

Yeahbut, it's a bargain when you buy in bulk. I think the local "professional woman" gets like $100-$300 a night!

Over 50 years? You don't wanna know what that would be.

Even on Cicero?

AT&T unlimited is $50 a month, sir.

On their wedding night, Shirley the young bride approached her new husband Morris and asked for $20.00 for their first lovemaking encounter. In his highly aroused state her husband readily agreed. This scenario was repeated each time they made love, for the next 30 years, with him thinking that it was a cute way for her to afford new clothes and other incidentals that she needed.

Arriving home around noon one day, Shirley was surprised to find her husband Morris in a very depressed state. During the next few minutes, he explained that his employer was going through a process of corporate downsizing, and he had been let go. It was unlikely that at the age of 55, he'd be able to find another position that paid anywhere near what he'd been earning, and therefore, they were financially ruined.

Calmly, his Shirley handed him a bank book which showed thirty years of deposits and interest totaling nearly $1 million. Then, she showed him certificates of deposits issued by the bank which were worth over $2 million, and informed him that they were one of the largest depositors in the bank. She explained that for the 30 years she had charged him for sex, these holdings had multiplied and these were the results of her savings and investments.

Faced with evidence of cash and investments worth over $ 3 million, Morris was so astounded he could barely speak, but finally he found his voice and blurted out "If I'd had any idea what you were doing, I would have given you all my business !"

That's about the time she shot him.

Mike,

I don't want to know how you know this.  ;)

You're gonna know anyway.

I used to be a burglar alarm service tech driving all over, all over.

We all saw her/them when we drove by. One day, in broad daylight, one in hot pants made a very obvious gesture to me of what service she was offering. I already knew.

Then there was the time I was driving by Cabrini Green (you know, home of "Dynomite JJ" what was the name of that show?) on Division Street nearby and almost hit the bus in front of me as he slammed on his brakes. I look right to the sidewalk and there's this very well-endowed girl bouncing along topless with a gang of guys all around her drooling with eyes bugging out like those wolves in cartoons.

Kind of like an engine reserve. Nice.

If we instituted that policy around my place I'm not sure I could afford the rates!
