is there an AC on accepted techniques for write-ups?

AC 43-9 gives a brief explanation of the required items in an entry, but as to format or manner of the write up as long as it satisfies the requirements of Part 43.9 and 43.11 it's considered acceptable. In specfic cases like MELs, there are ACs that give write up examples as acceptable guidance.
