As far as I know if you have an LSA aircraft and are private pilot rated (IFR) and the aircraft has the right lighting you can fly at night. My question is if you allow your medical to expire for the PPL (IFR) could you still fly at night in an LSA?

Welcome to the forum,I thought we answered that question earlier,a sport pilot can't fly at night, when you give up your medical you are operating as a sport pilot.

If you have a PP and a medical, the fact that the aircraft qualifies as an LSA is pretty much irrelevant.

If your medical has expired, you are operating under the sport pilot rules no matter what it says on your ticket. So, no night PIC.
