Ok, not really. But my luck just keeps going....

I know they are called "random" drug test, but I am always the first one called. I really think they go in alphabetical order instead.

I have been flying for a living since '98 and this is my 7th 'random' drug testing. This does not include pre-employment drug testing.

Well.... Hi ho, hi ho, off to pee I go.....

My favorite is that that the company that I own runs a commercial truck. Because of that, all of my commercial drivers...including myself (because I have a commercial licenses so I can move said truck if necessary) have to be enrolled in a random dug screening program.

So the government mandated that I enroll myself in a drug screening program to which the results go to myself so that I can decide what to do with myself once I get my results sent back to me.

Thank you government regulations.

DOT drug screen fail doesn't report to DOT?

I also, as a freelance CFI have to have a meeting with myself about security measures according to the TSA.

My meetings: Yep, the TSA is worthless, meeting adjourned.

Why do you send them a check for $400?

Yep, the nurse sort of confirmed it. She told me they will get a rash of random drug test and all the last names will start with the same letter. She and I agreed that the random call must be random on the first letter of the last name.

And of course this is all true because a nurse and I laughed, er, I mean discussed this.....

7 randoms in 17 years? They're hardly looking at you!

I got randomed 3 times in 6 months at my last job...of course, the guy who ran the program for the company probably should've been tested himself. NOBODY could be as ignorant as he claimed to be without help.

Had a similar thing happen to me back in the 2003 time frame... Since I own a private airport (2WY3)... They wanted me to implement a security plan and I needed to interview myself....:mad2::mad2::mad2::mad:......

Nope....repots to employer....hence myself.

As an employer I only need to prove that my employees are enrolled in a random drug screening program...not that they are actually getting screened.

Random does not mean equally distributed amongst all employees. Some will get it more than average, some less.

How did your interview go? See anything suspicious about the interviewee?

Yup.....

The idiot was unsafe to fly, or even enter the airport grounds......

Last I heard, he was running for Congress... Probably win the election too...;):D

I think his decision to fly a FORD would be grounds for something.

I had to take a pee test once for an internship right after a trip to Europe. This said trip involved eatting things with poppy seeds. :D

I told HR I might come back postive for opiates. A few weeks later at a board meeting, I was sitting in on, the CEO threw a packet at me and said to explain myself.

I looked up and said "It was a good muffin":rofl:

We all had a good laugh.
