Leather vs other interior materials

    Due to recent inflation, budgetary pressures have forced the use of naugahyde, and some are upset about it, claiming, "It just doesn't feel the same".

    UPDATE: This is exactly what I did. Bought a side of veg tanned saddle leather. Too thick to make entire seats from, but shop used it for the insert panels. HFS it looks good! But now I have raised the bar on side panel selection.

    Next time your in SoCal, there's a Naugles on Beach Blvd. Its got the original menu.
    The idea of Naugles brought back nostalgic memories of ditching class in high school to get a burrito. First bite brings you right back - next bite makes you realize that you used to eat some serious crap!

    just guessing, but I'm thinking the certs are more about smoke and flame, and likely doesn't consider the melt issues......

    FYI: The basic Part 25 burn certs you get cover flame propagation limits. Once you get into larger aircraft with 20 seats or more, smoke density and other limits come into play.
