KX-155 Swap for KX-165

Got a friend doing a panel upgrade and might give me his KX-165. My question is, I have a 155 in there now, will this be a plug and play, or is this going to require some rewiring. Both units do not have a GS.

As I recall, the 155 assumes the converter is in the CDI. The 165 has the converter built in to the radio. (Sorry, on mobile so can't double check but I'm fairly sure)
