My pool just overflowed out the skimmer cap. I"m gonna need to add salt next week. Not complaining, we need it.

Same here and every morning, It is full of mosquito larvae and frogs.
I am staying on it though. It is crystal clear.

Geez. This line stretches from central OK down to Mexico.

I'm sick of seeing all those colors on the radar. Haven't flown for several weeks and every single time I'm ready to go..... lots of green/yellow/red.

Send that rain up here, we are 16% on snowpack, and .3 inches of rain in 2 months.

we will see all the ice below 10,000' disappear from the north cascades this summer.

I have just been sitting here filming the lightning. It is awesome.
I was outside w/ the DSLR doing long exposures but it got too close for comfort.

It is like Florida out here right now. Just rapid fire massive lightning over and over.

I remember one night a two ship of B-52s launched from Barksdale AFB, Shreveport LA. Our tanker launched from Carswell AFB (Ft Worth) and was on the other side of the front. We went down towards Houston looking for a hole in the front. Center wanted us to condense our altitude block down to a single altitude with all the traffic headed south looking for a hole. A "hole" in the TRWs has to be 40nm wide for Air Force to slip through.

No luck, ATC turned us around, along with the tanker on the other side.
The front stretched from into Mexico to well past St Louis.
Mission scrubbed. Too heavy to land, Buffs don't jettison fuel.

We orbited east of Barksdale down low with flaps and gear hanging out trying to burn down fuel. Then the front approached and we were advised to get high and start saving fuel.

I ended up in Rome NY that night, my wingman went to northern Michigan after we got past St Louis so he could go north and us northeast. Got up the next morning and flew straight back, we were late going on ALERT.

It's the flooding that's causing the storms to continue, everyone knows that.

I drove across Lake Hubbard today and it was full, full, full! Trinity River looked like the Ol Miss too!

I left today to pick up my plane from the interior shop, but driving back Sunday. Any chance I can check out the Cirrus while I'm down there? I'm staying in Irving.

I flew around and through some of those colorful areas on Wednesday night! :mad2::mad2: I made a really bad decision and thought I busted my headset when my head hit the roof!

That's why I stay underneath, so I can see where the worst of it is and fly where the thin light spots are upwind of them.

what are you doin now?
My wife just took the kids to a bday party so I am alone and have nothing to do.

So we've been getting a good deal of rain here in Kansas. Not the biblical floods like you guys are getting, but rain none the less. Enough to break the drought and leave puddles everywhere. I went muddin' the other day with the Tampico getting to the runway.

I was just assaulted by mosquitoes when I stepped outside! I sprayed myself with OFF and then went around to all of the puddles and part of the pond putting out Mosquito Bits. You might want to order some. Once the rain breaks they are going to mount an invasion!

I used 3 of them last year to treat the puddles and the pond around the 3 acres I am on. It was a dry summer, so use was low.

This year I am buying a bucket of it.

We are having a party tomorrow night so I'm soaking my house and yard in various chemicals hoping to prevent an onslaught of them

If you live in town, the health depart will give you mosquito pellets if you ask for them most places.

I drove back to AR today to pick up my wings from the shop. I'll be back all next week though. Got the PM!

The system that moved through N Texas just came through here...... No twisters, but we got .82" in 12 minutes and a good light show. Max rain rate was just shy of 9" per hour.
