Quick question: might be a potentially nOOb question but who, or what, is Kathryn's Report? It's an incredibly refreshing and detailed look at aviation accidents without all the garbage reporting you get from elsewhere. Similar to AVherald but for GA. So does anyone know who runs it or how it is maintained, etc? The site seems kind of home made but it's incredibly detailed...

Thanks in advance for satiating my curiosity!

They don't seem to say on the site, and the site is GoDaddy registered with all of the usual privacy stuff turned on.

Yeah I explored the site a bit but couldn't find anything, thought maybe someone here would know

Never been able to figure it out, but whoever updates it does a good job. It's often the first place stuff will show up, out of all the aviation story aggregators.

Yeah it's fantastic. There's a Kathryn Vernon who worked for the FAA in some high level positions... thought maybe it was her maintaining it..

Anyway, thought I'd ask

Don't know the answer to who or why.....and agree the site is timely and comprehensive...but it can be "garbage in, garbage out" when reprinting the usual lay press accident reporting....but then editorializing on the site would be problematic too...so judge content by its source.

Beats me. When I first saw the site, I thought it might be a homage to the sister of Orville and Wilbur, but she spelled her name Katharine.

I've wondered this myself. Someone is doing the work, guess they don't want/need credit.

Not disagreeing with you but you probably haven't seen all their published reports.
Some are Fecesbook fests with glamour pictures of self-important rich people, it gets pretty distasteful.

But in general, the reports are normally pretty factually accurate without much media hype.

I too wonder who Kathryn is but it might not be a single person, morelike a team of bloggers who post aviation incidents with pertinent information.
